About Big Dog’s Brewing Company
Our first batches of beer started in a modest brewhouse located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. Dubbed the name “Holy Cow!” in 1993, it wasn’t until 2003 that we relocated the brewery to its current location just 8 miles northwest of downtown Las Vegas. Today our brewery team works in unison to develop some of the most unique and flavorful beers in Las Vegas. With an emphasis on consistent core brews and exciting seasonal/reserve beers, our brewers continue to put our spin on original, local beer flavor.
Big Dog’s Draft House is a fun and friendly neighborhood brewpub and casino in Las Vegas, Nevada where the best in food, homemade craft brews, gaming promotions, and exceptional hospitality are served up at all times. Featuring award-winning microbrews from our very own Big Dog’s Brewing Company – Las Vegas’ Original Hometown Brewery – and delicious Midwestern cuisine from Chefs Sergio Meza & Tim Bryant, Big Dog’s Draft House is always a great place for all of your fun occasions.
Big Dog’s Brewing Company Parking
While we secured a spot right out front (late lunch on a Monday) there is parking all around the building. When busy you may have to park out back and walk a little bit but in general you shouldnt have too much of an issue finding at least one spot.
Food & Food Trucks @ Big Dog’s Brewing Company
This place certainly isn’t a food truck type place as the food was legit. Thanks to my buddy and I both being indecisive on what we wanted we both ordered and split with eachother. I have to say it worked out really well. Both dishes were great – The Italian Wisconsin Grilled Cheese w/ sweet potato fires was damn good and while we werent sure what to expect with the Korean-Style Chicken Fajitas I do believe either of us would order them again in a heartbeat.

Final Big Dog’s Brewing Company Thoughts
As many casinos do this place uses the drink server/food server combo. That means when it takes awhile for anyone to come see you after being seated you cant just order everything at once. I think the slow initial service is my one and only complaint. Oh, and that this place isnt closer to the strip/downtown. From Treasure Island it is a good 12-14 miles or 20-25 minute drive during non rush times. Beyond that the food was super great and the beers were pretty impressive. It also pains me to be so positive since the place is clearly run by Greenbay Packer fans but honestly the place inside and out is pretty cool and good. I’m not sure when I will get back but I know it will be high on my list of places off the strip for sure.
Big Dog’s Brewing Company Beer Review
Well I had the flight of 5 but somehow checked in the Tailwagger twice instead of the other one so… only 4 were captured! I guess I will have to go back.
- Tailwagger Wheat – I liked this more than I thought I would
- Lhazy Dog – really good NE IPA
- Peace, Love & Hoppiness – pretty good Pale Ale
- Leglifter Light – smooth Lager.
